Did anyone else's heart absolutely break when Eric put Ian on the little boat? I was fine for the rest of the novel, but I teared up quite a bit during that particular scene. I felt silly crying over a fictional cat. Brilliantly written.

I actually panicked when they let Ian out in unspace. That made me a little nervous! (Like, actually. I was worried!)
I think i may have even yelled something at the book, too.

(p.s. can this go in Unspace Exploration?)

Aww Mia, they did have canned tuna... so it was bound to be alright ;)

I agree with thisisit, it was heartbreaking (especially since I think partings are really sad).

Hahah, yes! I did the same thing. As soon as they let him out of the carrier, all these worst case scenarios kept flashing through my head. Like, something would kill him, or they wouldn't be able to find him and suddenly the shark comes, forcing them to run and abandon him. Thankfully we were spared from any of that, whew.

But yeah, my vision definitely got a little misty during the boat scene. Thanks, Mr. Hall, for that ten minutes of heartbreak.
