Hey Steven, I just finished reading your book and I couldn't believe how much I liked it. It was actually assigned to my class to read for this bookmaking course I'm taking, and I didn't think it would be my thing but your story was so compelling it really was one of the best reads I've had in a long time. I also work at a bookstore, so I'll be telling others about how great it is too. I was just wondering if you'll ever come to Canada for a book signing and reading for your book. I'd love to meet you and get my copy signed, so if you do go on tour, let us know :)

Also, I heard about the movie, think that's a fabulous idea, and the fact that the screenwriter is the same one who did slumdog millionaire, that gives me more confidence that it's going to be done right :D

Hey rei, welcome to the forum.

That's really awesome about TRST being assigned reading. Out of curiosity (and if you are comfortable say so, of course), what school/college/university do you attend? Sounds like I should consider a transfer.

hey, thanks for the welcome ^^
I'm currently attending York University, in Toronto Canada. It's known for having a wide range of courses/programs, so it's a school likely to study this book. Actually, at this very moment I'm in class and we're discussing it :P

Hi Rei,

Sorry for missing your post until now - sometimes they slip by me. Thanks so much for the good words and thank you for telling others about the book.
I've been to Toronto a couple of times with Raw Shark Texts, the pictures of the Orpheus in the phot thread are from the Toronto launch in fact. It's one of my favorite cities. If I get a chance to come over with the next book, I'll be sure to make sure the info is up on the forum in plenty of time. Would be very happy to sign your book!

All best,

S

Coincidentally, it was in toronto that I accidentally found/discovered the book in some shop.
