So from now on, all blogs are going to be posted at www.steven-hall.org/blog. I'm very happy to answer questions and chat about whever comes up in the blogs, so if there's something you'd like to say/ask/comment on after reading, then this thread is the place! S

That is a great bit of news about the writer for the script. Slumdog Millionaire was a great movie. Although, I haven't read the book so I don't know how good of an adaption it was, it was at least a great movie.
Also, looking forward to those new sections on other things. :D

I haven't seen the film yet. Everyone seems to love it though, which is great news. I'm looking forward to seeing where Blueprint Pictures go next in terms of directors and actors. With Slumdog doing so well, the world is probably their lobster now. I do have a few little tasty titbits, but for the most part I'm watching this unfold along with everyone else. Exciting times :)
Congratulations to Simon on last night's Bafta!

I know this is such a ridiculous question, but has the contest finished? is it over? I've been a lazy bum for the past half a year and haven't bothered to look at the crapy thing i wrote when the contest started... What shape is it in as of now? I feel as though i missed the train :( Procrastination is the devil.

I feel as though i missed the train :( Procrastination is the devil. The Encyclopedia of Unusual Fish contest hadn't finished - it just paused. The original post was lost when the old Unspace Explorations forum died, so the contest kinda went on hold (as no one knew about it!). It is on the list of things to be reinstated though, and we'll get back to everyone who had already entered (hopefully this spring sometime) to let them know if their entries will be going into the Encyclopedia of Unusual Fish or not. Apols to folks who entered that this is taking us such a long time - we haven't forgotten. Promise. S

Hey M, You must be some kind of mindreader - I posted a blog titled 'book 2' on Thursday, but a bug in the blog system is keeping it off the screen for now. Paul W tells me he'll have it fixed soon, so hopefully it'll be up for all to see before too long. But yes, it has some brand new information on Book 2/HulaHoop, including something new about its connection to TRST, so do keep an eye out for it. :) S

I kind of consider your interaction here on the site to circumvent the blog. We might get fewer blog posts, but we get to hold conversations with you. Which is really great. Perhaps, you could use the blog when you have an idea for something to discuss that doesn't really fit in a thread or for news and goings on. That way there is no dead line on it and we're not expecting one. (hopefully this made sense)

Thanks!
I feel your pain on the note taking. I'm trying to juggle several different aspects at once, so I've got multiple word documents open at once and for every couple sentences I'm making notes in several of the documents. Which makes for very slow reading. I'd rather be writing by hand but I think I would get buried in paper after a few pages.
Good luck on the short film project.

Thanks guys. I'm chasing up details of the film project at the mo. There will be a thread in Other Work if it looks likely to happen. :)
