Hi,

I enjoyed The Raw Shark Texts so much that I'm inclined to be sycophantic.

I noticed that the title's pun on the name Rorschach is the same as the way that character's name is pronounced by the policeman in the Watchmen Novel. How significant an influence is Watchmen on your work?

Many thanks for making a commute to East Croydon enjoyable,

Simon

Hi Simon,

A commute to East Croydon actually enjoyable!? Wow, that is high praise. Thank you.

To answer your question - Alan Moore has been a big influence, although probably in a less obvious way than some other writers. I love the way he writes to the format to get the absolute best from it (something I've taked about about a little over in the film forum), and I love the tone of his work. I love the seriousness and the realism he investigates the superhero format with in Watchmen. I am indeed a fan (as you spotted!)

Steven
