Now that rawshark.ca is no longer available, is there any place to find the Aquarium Fragment. It was also available at rawsharktexts.com, but that too is gone. Has it been/can it be posted here somewhere or what?

Cal. ... Calio yes? are you awake? Now Yes sory ... ... Cal i feel strange What do you mean strange ? I feel like i forgot something important, like left something somewhere by mistake. Everyone feel like that sometimes. But this did not really happen , beside if you have forgotten somefhing it sign you dont really need it. so dont worry . ... ... You still worried. Yes , its like theres ... There is a part of me, right under my ribs which is supposed to be there but its gone. I have a strange kind of feeling that I should know what is not there, but I can not put my finger on it.. ... ... ... I sound crazy. Yes, but I think I know what you mean. And I have a bad feeling. like something bad to happen Let me ... Nothing bad is happening to you or me, and you are not missing any part of you. Everything all right. Everything all right and you will feel better in the morning.. Thanks. Shh ... close your eyes and Think about breakfast. I feel better. This is what I thought. I can verify that Negative 11 is in the Hebrew translation of the book. It's on page 184, printed on a black page. I can scan it, but it's in Hebrew so I doubt it will be really helpful :) The translation by Oren pretty much sums it up though.

thanks ehudros!
that negative makes me wonder which clio he was talking to, because we can't tell if it's a dream or a memory.
if it was the clio in his dreams, then he's probably the second eric sanderson, whose memories we do know have been eaten by the ludovician.
if it was the real clio, and he said this while she was still alive... then that is a different matter entirely. were the first eric's memories already being eaten by the ludovician before clio's death? if so, then uh-oh. that means he didn't sic the ludovician on himself because of her death. so why? could this possibly be more "memento"-like than we think?

ALSO: i just googled "the story of mr nobody" (after searching for negatives on ebay, as mr. hall mentioned they might show up there in the "dear producers, please don't cut" thread in the movie area!). what i came up with were a novel and a song! Peter Currell Brown: Smallcreep's Day (A 1965 novel, described as a ‘surreal satire of automation', that inspired Mike Rutherford's first solo album. Side one tells the story of Mr. Nobody, who goes about his daily tasks at the factory, ensnared in a nine to five routine, and a boring life style alleviated by dreams of love.) (from http://www.progbibliography.de/inspbooks.htm) if anyone has more information on the lyrics in mike rutherford's first solo album http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smallcreep%27s_Day_(album) i'd love to hear about it. not sure if any of this has any bearing on negative 13, but, you know, since we can't find it...

ALSO ALSO: with regards to negative 8: http://forums.steven-hall.org/yaf_postst97_Negative-8--Letter-175.aspxat the very end of the letter, according to the translation, eric1 dreams of "five red wardrobes". but i looked up the actual word for "wardrobe" in the original portuguese text ('armario') and as i suspected, it can also be translated as "cabinet". does this mean there are five red cabinets, and we've only seen one of them?
addendum: remember the fragment we got from eva signet's blog decryption? http://rawsharktexts.com/yaf_postst26p2_Eva-Signets-Blog-Decryption.aspx"a thought about the CABINETS came" so yes. multiple red cabinets.

On evas myspace page, with her friends photos, there is a photo of an electrical junction box with a poster on it that says lostenvelope.com if you go to that website there is an animation of a phone, the letter eric sanderson gets when he wakes up, and a photo of the yellow jeep. You press the button and Dr. Randle. Says a message which says to go to the Merck manuals (medical diagnosis site)and look up memory loss and your disorder. Then use your condition to look up her photos on Flickr. But when I went to flickr I can't find anything, I've tried typing in the disorder and subsequent variations as well as Dr.Randle nothing. Any thoughts?

hey tinman, i googled all the addresses in the pdf file from theredcabinet.com/usa/ (http://www.theredcabinet.com/usa/pdf/SharkFlickBookStevenHall.pdf) and they're names and addresses of u.s. bookstores! is this another book tour? some of the names are neither related to TRST or the bookstore name, though. i took the liberty of google-stalking them all, and came up with some interesting results. anyone care to heckle the following poor souls? - ellen jarrett in cambridge she seems to be the contact for porter square books: ellen@portersquarebooks.com- alison k in austin possibly an associate professor at ut-austin: akfrazier@mail.utexas.edu- aislin delaney in pittsburgh the only thing that comes up is for "aisling delaney", someone who founded some real estate company in dublin. http://www.delaneyestates.ie/anyone else got any leads? ...oh, wait, was this from the 2007 game? if so, it's been up for a long time. http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=300923buuuuuut it's in the usa? why doesn't the site have any dates?;_; anyway, i'm going to look things up in amazon (the "electronic rainforest") just to make sure.

this was all part of the viral marketing for the raw shark texts... there was a competition in the uk, and then a similar one in the us.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has checked the German edition of TRST for any negatives? I've just finished reading the English version and might go and buy the German one if no one has looked there.

Hello everyone
I'm brand new here. I just finished the novel last night. I felt drained after reading it. One of the marks of a great novel that - I felt the same after reading House Of Leaves.
Anyway let me cut to the chase. Last night I found this forum and my jaw dropped when I heard about the existence of these un-chapters. I instantly thought two things - "genius!" and "irritating b*st*rd!" ;-)
Can anyone help me out with what has been found thus far? Via a PM maybe. I'm a book reader rather than a crytologist freak, so really I just want to read the un-chapters, and not have to work so hard at solving clues to do so. Is that horribly wrong of me? Or just lazy? Anyway, big thanks to anyone who can help.
Of course if I start getting a taste for how these things work, I may be able to start helping out in a more active way.
Thanks. Oh, and what a great book!
Jules

Hi Jules : ) You can find more about unchapters and negatives (as in what has been found, and what's still to find) in the Red Cabinet as well as here, and of course this thread. You might be able to find the Aquarium Fragment (if it's not included in your book) at rawshark.ca (if the site is still up). There is also different content in different editions. If you have an undex/index at the back of your book, that will also help you figure out the whole negative thing. I'm probably missing alot here, but those are the basics to understanding it, I'd say. -M.

Thanks MiaVRO, most helpful and I'm most grateful.
Except that I can't seem to access any version of The Aquarium Fragment.
Does anyone have this as an attachment they could send me?
Email address is julesalexgray (at) yahoo.com

Cheers,
Jules Hi Jules, rawshark.ca (and the Aquarium Fragment) should be back soon. Someone decided to attack our server recently (that's why some people's links to the forum might have stopped working for a while) and webguy Paul is sill putting some of our stuff back together. We're hoping to have everything running again before too long, S
